Visit to an Event at the Embassy of Peru: Peruvian Green Coffee, Cupping, and Origin Potential

Events organized by embassies of coffee-producing countries offer a rare opportunity to view the green coffee market from the perspective of origin — through tasting, dialogue, and a deeper understanding of the export context.

Green Coffee Hub attended a professional coffee event at the Embassy of Peru, focused on Peruvian specialty coffee, its flavor profiles, and export potential.

Event Format: Presentation and Cupping

The program included an introductory presentation on Peru’s coffee industry, followed by a cupping session with professional, informal discussion.
A total of six samples of Peruvian specialty coffee were presented, showcasing a range of flavor profiles and processing methods.

Such tastings allow early evaluation of a lot’s potential in terms of roasting performance and long-term work with origin.

Peru as a Green Coffee Origin

Peru remains one of the more stable origins in the specialty green coffee segment due to:

  • a wide variety of microlots,

  • stable climatic zones,

  • opportunities to build long-term supply chains.

At the same time, working with Peruvian coffee requires a clear understanding of export processes, logistics, and quality control — factors that directly affect supply stability and final results for roasters.

What This Means for the Market

Events like this highlight a key trend:
interest in coffee origin and high-quality green coffee continues to grow, while direct access to producing countries remains limited without professional infrastructure.

For roasters and coffee businesses, sustainability increasingly depends not only on equipment or recipes, but on how effectively origin relationships and green coffee supply chains are built.

The Role of Green Coffee Hub

Green Coffee Hub operates within the international segment of the green coffee supply chain, connecting origin, logistics, and the business needs of its clients.

Participation in such events is part of our systematic work with producing countries, aimed at building transparent and manageable green coffee supplies for the professional market.
